You may be wondering...who is Lorena and why she has her own land?
and why she talks about herself in third person?
Honestly, I don’t know, sound better, right?
In Venezuela born and raised, on the playground is where I spent most of my days, chillin’ out, maxin’, relaxin’ all cool. I still live here, in a small town called Carrizal, with my husband, my mom and my two cats: Lisa & Maggie.
I’ve been making art (specially music and photography, but also a bit of writing here and there) and web design since 2003. I was the kind of girl that had a much more rich life online than IRL. Trough internet I got to meet most of my friends, both in Venezuela and abroad. The internet is super important to me and it has changed my life in so many ways. If you want to see the story of my life from 1989 to the present day, you can go to my timeline.
I currently work as a freelance web designer, and I’m the webmaster of Puentes, a Latin American non-profit organization.
I’m a fan of
- Monkey island and all the Lucas Arts graphic adventures.
- The Mars Volta
- Jack Black
- Martin Cirio
- Aqui no hay quien viva
- Arrested Development
- Seinfeld
- Animal Collective
- Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (specially Tituss Andromedon)
- Mainstream electronic music from the 90s (known in my country as changa)
currently i am:
- Creating and writing about a new concept for experiencing the web called FUNSCROLL.
- Writing a novel.
- Investigating A LOT about the indie web, poetic websites and another ways of inhabiting the internet.
Doing my best to spread the word about my latest EP without it being time consuming and frustrating (that means not getting crazy on social media trying to get everyone to listen to it). Letting go of expectations.
Happy because I finally finished my personal webpage after so much time being stuck with it. I got to create a fun space for exploration of my artistic projects.
