“it’ll happen to you”

i’ve been watching and re-watching a lot of series since the beginning of the year, entering fictions has helped me deal with being in my own context. series from the 2010’s portrayed millennials very similar to how millennials are portraying gen-z: selfish, kind of dumb, overly sensitive, emotionally hyperbolic, know-it-alls, etc.

every generation has a younger generation available to complain about and make fun of them. later, that second generation will do exactly the same, portraying the younger one with the same defects that their generation was accused of having. what every mocked generation has in common? all of this happens when people are in their 20s. maybe…just maybe, it could be that when we’re in our 20s we tend to be selfish, kind of dumb, overly sensitive, etc etc. and that’s it.

the flaw of millennials, gen-z, and such, has been always the same: being young.
